The best replacement for a missing tooth is a dental implant. A dental implant is typically shaped like a tooth root, threaded and tapered towards the tip, resembling a screw. It is made of titanium (CPTi). A prosthetic crown is placed on the integrated implant. Implants can replace one or more missing teeth, or fully rehabilitate an edentulous jaw.
